MrClose, what is your opinion of GW Bush? Is he also a cry-baby liberal? After all, he did the exact same thing back in 2007.

I'd think with that free U.S. education he'd know enough about the law to ask for a foreign consul to tell him to shut up if he's raped a 16 year old girl, bludgeoned her with a club and crushed her skull with a 30 pound slab of asphalt. But I suspect his ol' lady never told him he was Mexican and thought all this time he was a g*d damned Texan.

Or at least to haul his ass back to Mexico faster than a jack rabbit running off across the road.

So... is he dead yet?

Don't try to feed us that BS about "George Bush Did It Too" .. so it's not a Liberal/Conservative issue!

George Bush was Liberal-Lite on MANY issues and that was just another example!

You Libs can stop using Bush to make your arguments now .. It just doesn't work anymore!

Well let's see now if Congress continues on their push for legislation or if they drop this like a hot potato because it's no longer top news.

You are too new here to be so jaded and uninformed about "liberals". I smell an agenda.

There's a lot of people, myself included, who think Amanda Knox isn't getting a fair shake in Italy. I don't think it's just liberals either.
The only "rights" he has are those are those proscribed in our Constitution. The International Court of Justice has no power here, thankfully.

You're lack of respect for the treaty obligations we signed on to when we ratified the ICJ treaty is disturbing. The US has been a party to the treaty of the ICJ for decades, and this execution, and others, are flagrant violations of the obligations of the treaty we are a part of. I have no sympathy for Leal here, but I worry about the repercussions that our violation of our own treaty obligations will have on our own citizens in future.
