Yes, I know this is sorta old news. Was it meant to lower oil prices? If so, I am not seeing a big difference at the gas station. When gas drops to under $2/gallon, then I might be a little impressed. At current prices, I will spend $5,400 on fuel this year.

It certainly wasn't a well researched option employed with the intent of providing any lasting relief from soaring gas prices.

The only other possibility that makes sense is Obama releasing the oil with the intent of further enriching the portfolios of his tipped off financial supporters.

Even attempting to be generous Obama comes off as either clueless, politically calculating, or compromised to the point of criminality by supporting financial interests.

There is no believable way to spin this monumental screw up on his part into anything positive.
