Watch for results tomorrow in a special election (run-off) for retired California Congresswoman Jane Harmon's vacated seat, Ca 36, running along the west side of L.A.

It is a heavily Dem area, and L.A. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn is slightly ahead in the polls. But her GOP adversary, businessman Craig Huey, has spent $800,000 of his own money in the campaign.

Some of Huey's cash went to pay for a particularly offensive video add, to the rap tune "Give Me Yo Money, *****", featuring AK-slinging black and Hispanic actors portraying gang members, a supposed reference to Hahn's gang-diversion program for LA youths, which used ex-gangsters as peer counselors.

Huey has been getting a daily boost from local radio shlock jocks Jon and Ken, who have been pushing the Hahn/gangster "connection", insinuating without evidence that Hahn has a (ahem) "crush" on the gangsters (Hahn is a white blond woman). Nice huh?

Prediction is for a tight election, with expected low turn-out helping Huey. A possible surprise pick-up for the GOP in liberal West L.A.?

Stay tuned...

Janice Hahn paid gangbangers.

She was a do-do brain even before she paid gangbangers. Anyone in Los Angeles who follows politics and doesn't listen to the partisan claptrap knows this woman is bad news.

I am not shocked that such a person is leading in the polls, democracy can give you anything. Lets hope for a low {D} turn out and a win for Craig {baby} Huey.

There is no way this race should or will be close. This is an overwhelmingly democrat area.
