Obama was never in the game really. It was always going to be the conbgress that decided. If he really wanted and believed in tax increases he would have not signed an extension of Bush taxcuts. He bascailly was not willig to take the heat himself in veteoig it. He wants poltical cover of a deal that raises taxes on the so called rich is the truth ;obviously.
He was in the game, just which game? Obama basically manipulated Cantor into "walking out" and now Boehner. Both look foolish and unworthy of public trust. Not to mention, he will likely get what he originally wanted, clean increase of debt ceiling. They really cannot compete with this man.
Idiots elected these idiots and now they're playing the American people. The idiots who put these idiots in power have no idea how NOT raising the debt ceiling is going to affect us. I don't think we'll get the chance to find out, but this stupidty is so disgusting. Looking at the childish comebacks and the foolish pictures being posted, it tells me that we have regressed as an nation. I'm amazed people on both sides are so excited about a default, as though it's a good thing. Do you people not realize this will drop us into an era worse than the 1929 Great Depression, and will cause global ramifications? Millions of people are going to lose homes, jobs, lives, over this.

Great! It is about time that the republicans address the out of control spending initiated by the democratic congress and Obama- they have doubled the national debt and have accumulated more debt than all the previous presidents in US history combined. Obama is too irresponsible to address the debt and needs to be reigned in .
Obama only cares about himself and getting re-elected and really does not care if he doubles the national debt again, essentially dooming the nation to economic catastrophe. What IS SHOCKING is that the democrats seem to be perfectly happy spending as usual and creating assured chaos. Obama is the most puerile, polarizing president in US history and has completely neglected his duty to the citizens of the US.
Me too. I am disgusted by this attitude and the maturity level displayed here. Some of these people here that think they know everything and will do anything to spite Obama (cutting of their noses to spite their face) will be the ones losing it all. Rather than admitting that they were wrong, they will be blaming Obama somehow. It really is disgusting and these people have the audacity to call themselves patriot, yet they put hatred before their country. Such a shame.
