Well he is. Finally somebody calls him on his BS. Obama is being pushed into a corner now. Even littly timmy's squeak's to defend him aren't being heard.

"Boehner’s office said late Saturday that a two-vote approach was now necessary in order to raise the debt ceiling immediately while tackling deficit-reduction later.
Boehner also criticized President Obama for recommending a debt ceiling deal be timed to last beyond the next election season.
“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn't we be worried about the country?” Boehner said. “I'm not worried about the next election. I told the president months ago: Forget about the next election!”
The administration though has indicated that the debt ceiling should be raised at least through 2012, in order to take politics out of the negotiation.

The president said in his speech Friday evening that he would be willing to work on “any plans” that lawmakers brought him over the weekend. “The only bottom line that I have is that we have to extend this debt ceiling through the next election, into 2013,” President Obama said."

That is all he is about these days, the next election plain and simple, anyone can see that. He should be called on his BS. All about him, always.

Obviously, in the hands of his Re-election committee. He has to be re-elected to find out what the plan is.

Hmmm, could Pelosi really just be Obama in drag... with a really bad make-up job.

And Boehner and all his cohorts are somehow different and don't care about the next election?

It's highly unusual for a politician to be concerned about the next election.

Between the two.

Boehner is clearly not as concerned about re-election as much as Obama.

Both are opportunists.... no doubt.

But after watching Geitner today... he is a scared little squirrel about his boss' job and his own job.

They at least have cover of the Constitution in attempting to pass a budget. Something the other party has failed to do for a few years now. And if I were going to be a scofflaw, I'd rather have the Constitution on my side. Almost as useful as jury nullification.

That includes Boehner, awhile back congress cut funding for some jet engine in his district that the Pentagon did not want. Did Boehner lead the charge? of course not he knows that his district could have gave him the boot. He protected his own a$$ and was silent and I think he voted no or did not vote at all.
