Yea...you covered that already. You said southerners are made fun of for this very thing. Corrine Brown is a southerner. So that's one way...if it cuts both ways, what other way are we talking about?

‪Corrine Brown - Go Gata (with Subtitles)‬‏ - YouTube
That video would have been fine if someone hadn't tried so hard to show how she pronounced the words. That part of it stinks and only someone who wants to show badly how some black people speak.

It is a sad situation when our Congress that can't get much done spends even three minutes for something like that, though. Terrible waste of time.

She may be a Southerner, but she isn't speaking with a Southern drawl. She's speaking in AAVE, African American Vernacular English, otherwise known as ebonics, or a form thereof. Do you deny that people of any/all groups who speak with different accents or use alternate grammatical rules that don't necessarily comply with standard English aren't judged? Let me ask you this, do you think Obama would have been elected to POTUS if he spoke in AAVE?

I'll be waiting.
Finally I can rep one of your posts.

No big deal.

It's just her accent.

BTW....when a white southerner speaks that way, they're looked at as ignorant or dumb.

I don't see it in her.
