The issue with Jeffs is that he was having sex with/"marrying" girls who were below the age of consent. This is called "rape", and possibly kidnapping. Gay also does not equal rape. Sex between two consenting adults is their business. Sex between an adult and a child is society's business, and that adult deserves punishment, especially if that adult is in a position of authority over that child, as Jeffs was.

In my opinion and most noraml people a twelve yr old girl, is not at the age of consent. That is rape. Sex between A grown Man and a little girl is something else.And with other Women and Men standing by watching all this, what in the hell kind of brainwashing machine is used on these people.
I'm not even opposed to plural marriage (to each his own) nor to a teen girl marrying (so long as it is voluntary and not to an old geazer), but we can all agree that this was pretty gross.

Well it wouldn't necessarily, but there have been some articles published in homosexual magazines and journals that put forward the idea that children should be allowed to explore their sexuality with "whomever they please."
