On a day to day basis from my experience I would say yes.

They not only are a threat to our freedoms, they provide little to no service at this point. They are simply there to raise revenue for the local governments and state.

From the article...

"The US prison population is much larger in absolute numbers that the prison populations of China and India, countries with four times the US population."

"While writing this article, I googled “police brutality,” and google delivered 4,100,000 results. If a person googles “police brutality videos,” he will discover that there are more videos than could be watched in a lifetime. And these are only those acts of police brutality that are witnessed and caught on camera."

Marijuana users and non-violent drug offenders get treated like hardcore criminals and those who stole BILLIONS from the US Economy face no jail time and often receive fines less than the profits that they stole.

Our justice system is terrible.

From what I can gather there also appears to be no real tracking, much less accountability for this either. Even though there are reportedly over 17,000+ agencies.
This is about the only tool I have found. Really amazing.

The Police serve the 1% and those in power in order to keep the status-quo humming.

As far as ordinary crimes go they are almost always an after the fact occurrence, sometimes even making matters worse.

I do respect some but most are mindless drones following orders for a paycheck or just bitter angry people out for daily revenge on the World.

I don't know about the rest of you posters, but I don't believe citizens should be defenseless against corrupt Police.

They are the largest, most successful, organized crime unit.
