I've got the say this is one of the best segments Stewart has done in a while calling out the right wing hypocrisy and nails it perfectly.
“This is the problem with entitlements,” he explained. “They are really only entitlements when they are something other people want. When it’s something you want, they are a hallmark of a civilized society, a foundation of a great people.”
John is stupid here. Why does he think she's a hypocrite? For taking something that her employer offers?
Because she was speaking out against workers' benefits and entitlements, as many (likely most) Republicans do. And yes, I think it is hypocritical to speak out against workers' benefits for other people and then take some for yourself. And, if I remember right, conservatives opposed the Family and Medical Leave Act in 1993.

Fox News, fair and balanced
Doesn't matter, her employer offers it. I also think in her situation, it's not an entitlement paid by the tax payer, it's paid by her PRIVATE employer.

Last I checked the taxpayers were not paying Megyn Kelly's salary. See the difference? Maternity leave in her case was a result of the free market employment, not employment in the public sector.
Unemployment benefits beyond those funded by the employer and thrust upon the taxpayers to fund is Socialism.

Apples and oranges.
Its an entitlement when you feel its owed to you. Its a benefit when its offer freely.

Numerous issues from pointing out her stating that other countries like Canada offer leave for new mothers (then stewart shows a video of her bashing it) then goes on the say men should also have the same time off as women (again stewart shows a video of her stating the complete opposite)
It's just like when Beck did his crybaby home video after he needed surgery saying how great the american health care system is, but is one of the biggest loons bashing everything including healthcare.
The point in the end being made is the hard right call any and all entitlements to be socialism/marxism/handouts,. and all the other BS catch phrases but when they need and use them it's A-OK. The typical "everything for me and nothing for you" right wing mentality.

When you finally understand the difference between a private company and government you come back and let us know, ok? See you then!
