they use MORE of the services than anyone, should they not contribute??? why not just because they are 'poor'..gee maybe we should all quit our jobs and be 'poor' so the allknowing government can take care of us like a good nanny
I want EVERYONE to pay... the only way to have us survive is if we all work together..we ALL need to contribute..not just the 'evil rich'
or are liberals just LIARS when they talk about EQUALITY
I support flat overall or aggregate taxes. State and local taxes tend to be regressive, therefore for overall tax flatness, federal taxes must be somewhat progressive.
Under my plan, states would determine whether federal taxes are flat or progressive: all they have to do to make federal taxes flat is to make their own taxes flat.
Then if the tea party knew what was good for them they'd vote for Ron Paul who wants to get rid of the income tax altogether. Our success as a country does not hinge on the existence of income taxes.
I think Rick Perry needs to go back to being a Democrat. He certainly doesn't sound very Republcian like to me.

"We're dismayed at the injustice that nearly half of all Americans don't even pay any income tax." -Rick Perry
This is one area that I agree with Perry on. Every able bodied American should pay income taxes.
