Of course UN, and participating NATO countries deserve credit too as they all played a part in it, as did the US. UN made a quick decision to authorize the use of force in order to end the genocide, and that authorization enabled the US led air campaign to begin, which stopped the killings and eventually. Without the air campaign, Libya would have turned into another Rwanda.

If you somehow managed to stop making everything about Obama, you would be able to see this as a victory for US as a nation, and victory for freedom in general. But the thought that Obama was involved obviously makes it impossible for you to see anything good in it.
A victory for the US????? We took advantage of a temporarily destabilized government because of a civil uprising, what victory??

That is the beauty of this....

There was the CHANCE genocide MIGHT happen so that gives the USA carte blanche to bomb Libyan cities.

I didn't call him anything. Unlike you, my mind does not revolve around Obama.

What you said, directly conflicts with what Obama said was taking place.

If thats not you calling him a lier, than what is it?

We are discussing the bombing of a country, and that decision was made by Obama, so why wouldnt we bring him into the discussion?

On the contrary, I think it was important to end the genocide. You seem to disagree.....

No war?Why then was the USA bombing Libya for the last several months, for fun?
What genocide was that?Ohhh,POTENTIAL genocide...meaning no actual PROOF.You mean militarily overthrowing tyrants around the globe is now the USA's job?Syria up next?Yemen?Iran?
I said no war against Libya. It was FOR Libya, not against it. The genocide was already in its way. Study up a little.

I said "US led air campaign begun". The campaign did in fact begin with US Navy firing off over 100 Tomahawk missiles and sending their aircraft to take out key targets. The others followed our lead. Are these facts offensive to you?

Look, if you don't want to give any credit to US and our armed forces, then don't. It is not mandatory.

Is there something wrong in taking advantage of enemy's weakness?

Oh, so you admit that he committed an act of treason by entering into an armed conflict in another country, when we were not being directly attacked, without getting permission from Congress?

Can't have it both ways.....

The one in Libya, where Gadaffi's forces were killing civilians.

Did you think that maybe I was taking about some other event?
