No, he has his strategy, it's clear.

He will be running against the GOP congress, blaming them for the condition of the economy, while forgetting how his own policies have made the recession even worse.

The media will help him with their narrative on the "recalcitrant" GOP who want obama to fail and will do all they can to black his agenda.

That is the strategy - blame the GOP/TP for the economy, lack of jobs, the downgrade and the partisanship in DC.

Won't work.

I wonder how many "debate" sound bites the Pres will take advantage of next Thurs. Sometimes it would be good to see him act equally childish as the Repubs, but suspect he will not. He will present reasonable plans, call for Legislators to do their jobs, they won't, so, a year of inaction until the GOP gets out of the way. I don't think the American people are really as dumb as the GOP believes.

I'm already counting the words "I" and "investment" in his teleprompter-reading event. Maybe I should also plan on counting the word "hostage"?

Maybe it was actually a fortuitous move for Obama to change his speech to the 8th, at least if there's any truth to what some astrologers have pointed out. Apparently the previous day (Sept 7th) has something going on called a Void of Course Moon, roughly described as "a time when things don't turn out as planned" (which probably doesn't bode well for GOP plans for that evening)!

But that's based on the Gregorian calender. Obama's schedule is based on the Mayan calendar...

With the timing of his speech on the East Coast so not to interupt NFL that means the west coast speech will be at 4 pm, who will have time in Cali to watch the president at 4 pm. Between rush hour and picking up kids this has to be a Whitehouse blunder. Or then agian Obama doesn't have a jobs program and this will be the best way to come out and not have many people tuning in.

If there's one word in the dictionary that would never be used to describe this nitwit, it's reasonable.

if obama timed his speech during professional bowling there would be an outcry.nobody wants to hear another speech from this man.do your job and shut up already.we dont need anymore empty promises like shovel ready jobs, well except from your fast and furious program but we didnt think you meant grave diggers at the time. shut up and do something beside what you are told to do for a change.

I think not.
sanrene !!! ... Spot On !

Indeed ... The Knows It All ... Oh Promise Me Anything For A Vote ... "Talking Head" concept appears to apply most precisely to ole Barry and the grand joint session !!!

May we resolve to vote this miserable bunch outta dodge in 2012!

Cheers ... Old Sgt. Lamar
