Why in the world would rising GOP star, the articulate, handsome, conservative Rubio go on Ed's show?

Why in the world would he want to boost his ratings? I mean, the guy is totally unserious.

Seems ed has an obsession with Rubio...maybe cause he's hispanic and fears he might opt for VP and bring the hispanic vote with him?

Rising star-Rubio, LOL. He is the 2011 GOP Bobby Jindal (who is Jindal, I know yesterdays' news). By 2012, Rubio will be as unimportant as Jindal now. Christie, unlike Rubio, has substance which = staying power.

What in the world would YOU know about conservative politics and what they're thinking?

Conservatives LOVE this guy.

Conservs do not elect people. Independents do, which makes the key to electing a conservative one who will draw at minimum a 10% plurality over the Democrat amongst independents. 2012 is winnable, with such a man or woman. W/O that +10, conservatives are the way to about 225 electoral votes..out of 539. Rubio would have trouble breaking even amongst indys, an there are approximately 5 registered Dems per 4 registered Republicans nationwide. So whenever Dems hold indys to a draw, they win. When they do as BO did +8 indys in 2008, they win going away.

/fail

They aren't even in the same class. Schultz is just hoping that if he can get in the same room as a class act like Rubio, that some of Rubio might rub off on him, and if he is lucky it might boost his reputaion a hundred fold.

Schultz's opening comment will something like, "Sen, Rubio, when did you first releaize that you were a race traitor and racist?"
