Since many Indians aren't really completely pure as in 100% Indian, I wonder if certain mixes are more acceptable than others. Still if they are a separate nation, it's up to them I guess.

These people are descendants of slaves owned by Cherokees, so it is unclear how much or how little Cherokee blood exists in them.
According to the article, in 1866 their freed slaves and their descendants were given all the rights of native Cherokees, but now they are revoking those rights.

It sounds like an excuse for a little ethnic cleansing.
It's not as if they were illegal...they are legally native Cherokee.
Perhaps the Democrats would like to declare war on the Cherokee nation next?
