If true, that is WRONG. But not a reason for me to oppose Palestinian state. The question now, though, is, Jews made up for 11% of Palestinian population around Balfour Agreement (Christians and Muslims made for 87%). Where did the Jews go?
So pollyrobin proudly supports apartheid against Jews and discrimination against gays, is that correct?
Your obviously too emotionally attached to this issue to have any productive conversation about it, so I'll pass.

My emotions are not the topic. Do you support apartheid and anti-gay policy in a new Palestinian state? Yes or no? Pretty simple really.

"Apartheid" turns out to be a misinformation. So you may want to rectify your position. The reference wasn't against Jews, but against Israelis. Funny though is the idea of your sources when the one who sponsored the event (Christian Science Monitor) doesn't seem to have ANY such claims. So that takes us back to the authenticity in blogosphere.
The position of many leftists regarding Israel and the Palestinians has always been very vexing. They attack a liberal democracy which protects the rights of gays and women and support an oppressive society where homosexuality is considered a cardinal sin, where gays flee for their lives if their sexual orientation is revealed, where women are treated as chattel.
"Confronting that reality is difficult for some on the left who have been trained to wrongly view Israel as a vestige of evil Western imperialism. The notion that those who view gay rights (and women's rights) as the most important issues here in the West would, at the same time, support gay-bashing (and women-oppressing) Palestinian Islamists in their campaign to eradicate gay friendly Israel is a caricature of the psychosis of the left." Leftists Support Gay-Bashing Palestinians in Effort to Eradicate Gay-Friendly Israel « Commentary Magazine
Don't we have enough gay-bashing, women-beating states in the world? And now they want a 25th Arab state and 58th Muslim state added to that list????
Turns out, that it wasn't about "Jews" but about "Israelis". Still got a problem with it? I don't.
That's what I said when I posed the question:

According to the article:
"Jews have lived in "Judea and Samaria," the biblical name for the West Bank, for thousands of years. Areikat said the PLO seeks a secular state, but that Palestinians need separation to work on their own national identity."
Do they kick out the Jews who have been in that area for many years because Jewish = Israeli, or how do they plan to do this? My guess, and it is a guess, is that Israeli will equal Jewish.
