I wrote to my district representative about this to tell him not to pass this bill. I also tried to send a note to Ed Hernandez, but you cannot send notes to representatives outside of your district (which to me is total b.s.).

What about Proposition 209? Wouldn't there be some sort of conflict?

Good question.

SB 185 is a State Senate bill.

So what school did your friend end up going to, jadams475?

More micro-managing to herd the sheep.

Where is Liberty in this equation?

And the reason we have some of the dumbest people out there holding positions, they never were qualified for.
America is no longer about being the best, they are herding us to be all dumb and on the same level of stupidity.

I am not sure which bill the public school system must follow if SB 185 passes. Is it both?

The solution is to eliminate all questions about race, sex, income, etc on the admission documents.

It seems this poll is pretty clear how people perceive this issue:

You cannot spend decades, huge sums of money, and a tremendous effort convincing us that we are all equal.

And then turn around and say "except...."

I went to one school where grad students were eligible for a scholarship. One applicant was a white female student from Ireland with a working-class background, the other student was a black female student from Nigeria where the father was an M.D and the mother a college professor (both in the US). Guess who got the scholarship...not the person who needed it...
