I am not quite sure on where to put this but I thought this forum would be the best area.
Iran planning to send ships near U.S. waters - CNN.com
Here is a quote from the Iranian government run newspaper,"Commander of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran broke the news about the plans for the presence of this force in the Atlantic Ocean and said that the same way that the world arrogant power is present near our marine borders, we, with the help of our sailors who follow the concept of the supreme jurisprudence, shall also establish a powerful presence near the marine borders of the United States"

I am not too worried because the US military can blow them out of the water if they wanted to. But what are your thoughts on this

They have every right to get as close to the USA with their ships, as we sail our ships by their country constantly.

What exactly does their navy consist of anyway? I'm surprised they have ships that are capeable of that kind of range.

I'm about as threatened by the Iranian navy as I am bed bugs. The United States could destroy their entire navy in less than an hour.

I wonder what will happen to their crews after a weekend visit to New York City. Sailors are sailors and that would be one Hell of a Liberty!
