About his looks, read an excerpt of the link below and ask yourself how good you would look.
Just as his career was starting to see a revival, tragedy struck Hank Williams Jr. once again. While he was climbing Ajax Mountain in Montana on August 8, 1975, he fell 442 feet down the side of the mountain. His injuries were serious—his skull was split and his face was crushed—but he survived. Following extensive reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, he had to learn how to speak and sing all over again. Oops, doing this from my phone and it showed the mobile link address.
Country music stations quit playing their music, which led to country music fans not purchasing their music.
Had the media conglomerate that owns most of these stations along with the AM stations that host hate radio shows not made something out of nothing, the "controversy" would have never happened, especially considering they said they didnt like Bush while in London. No one would have known, or cared.
Either way, who really cares what Hank Williams thinks besides the morons interviewing him on FOX and the morons who watch that program
Apparently you and a lot of others care otherwise you wouldn't have replied to the misinformed topic.
I think ESPN made the correct move. I also don't think Hank Jr really gives a crap. He said many times that he doesn't care what folks think of him or his music. If they don't like him and don't buy his music he will simply live off his daddy's name. Which I think he's been doing all along anyway.
I'm a bit surprised that ESPN has used Hank Jr's intro as long as they have. As far as I am concerned it will never be as chilling an intro as the "Du Du Du Du, DUUH" with Howard Cosell breaking in with first words.
I don't understand the issue. Hank Williams Jr NEVER compared Obama to Hitler.
so was he comparing Boehner to Hitler?
I get that he was trying to say that the two have absolutely nothing in common, but the delivery was way off and completely inappropriate. His brain to mouth filter malfunction may have cost him a job. Sorry, but, I think ESPN did the right thing...who needs the headache.
Anyone that wants to read more into than that, has an agenda of hate and they already know Hank don't like Obama. They just see a pisdoff redneck, that isn't intellectual enough for their liking. Hanks, Juan Williams moment.

I agree...the last show I went to where he headlined was in the late 80's...he came out in the middle of Waylon's set,was so drunk and stoned he had p issed himself and was missing a boot...Waylon finally walked off the stage...worst money I ever spent on a concert and haven't liked him since.
Just another burned out dopehead chickenhawk.
I think it's funny how all the neoCONS complain about hollywood and anyone in the entertainment biz when they are coming out in support of the American people, but let some right wing wacko in the entertainment field say something insane and they gush the "freedom of speech" catch phrases....hypocritical and moronic at best
