Why don't these people who have problem with the establishment, Government, and everything AMERICAN, that they hate, just do us a favor and leave. Hey they can go to Mexico, sure they would be happy to put them up, give them jobs, food and the basics to live.

They don't realize that the debt that he (Bush) occurred is still going on through benefits to the disabled veterans and their care (lifetime). They also discounted the cost of shattered families, and more vets are homeless and in jail (PTSD related crimes) than before the war. These things are never mentioned when everyone starts talking about how Obama's spending exceeds previous presidents
Obama's just as guilty as the rest of them--remember? Are you seeing signs protesting John Boehner either? Both sides are to blame, because both are guilty, over decades, of letting this happen. It's kind of pointless to protest individual politicians when they're all doing it. The system needs to be changed, and new people in office aren't going to make any difference at all--no matter which party they're in--if we don't fix it. Big money is the only consistent player in this whole mess--they're the ones who bought influence--and both political parties are going to have to change the system to get them out.
But Obama is the president, the big Kahuna. You would think that there would be a lot of signage critical of him, one of the largest recipients of corporate/Wall Street cash. But in fact the vast majority of the protest is against banks/corporations/Wall Street, not Obama, not big government in general even. I have little doubt that these OWS people will gladly pull the lever for Obama.

what many seem to be missing is that it is not about the politicians, but about the ability of the 1% to buy the politicians. As with everything, follow the money. The politicians are not in control...Wall Street is in control and that is the problem.

I really would like to think that his intentions were to provide green jobs and fix the country's infrastructure with the stimulus money which would have had a two prong fix. People would be working and the roads/bridges will be fixed. The probelm is that you will have to spend money that would in theory come back as taxes
