Occupy Wall Street Protesters Arrested For Attempted Bank Account Closing - Citi Bank Oct 15 - YouTube

This is pure mutiny and treason now. You can't even go into a bank without getting manhandled or you can't even request to close your bank account (it's YOUR money) without being arrested?

I'll chip in to these folks' bail myself. Normally I wouldn't say this, but all the Wall Street bankers who approve of this, or allow this to happen without speaking up deserve a severe blow to the head. It's unconstitutional and inhumane, plain and simple.

I suspect there is much more to the story than the OP would like us to believe. Keep drinking that statist kool-aid. Thinking people are not so naive as to accept such drivel at face value.

Interesting, but I feel like something might be missing from this story. If its true its very disturbing, although so is that mass repeating.

Why do so many seem to be under the impression private property is public?

I have now seen three different versions of this one. Looks to me like they mugged the wrong girl. I am not saying she was not a player as I have seen nothing either way...but it sures looks like the cops screwed this one up either way.

In one she actually clearly looks shocked. She did not see it coming.

I agree, if it's true, it's very disturbing.

It's their own private property (money). They have every right to withdraw their own private property from the bank, regardless of reason. The only plausible argument against the action is that it could be considered a bank run but 19 people closing their accounts at a single branch unless they're all richer than Croesus and simultaneously dumb enough to have all their money tied up in savings/checking accounts there's no way that would fly.

Seems the bank and police have stepped in it now... can we say... run on the bank?

I saw no reason for the actions of the police. Want to tell me again we have a democracy?
