I just read that there is serious trouble now that the UNESCO, the UNO's culture department so to speak, has voted to support Palestine's bid to become a full UN member The US has stopped funding the UNESCO, so I was wondering, where should the UNO be relocated should this trouble expand to the UN as a whole?

How about somewhere in the Old World? Would be nearer to many of the world's hot spots, thus shorter ways, fewer transatlantic and transpacific flights, lower costs, etc.
How about Switzerland, because of its political neutrality, which would be a big bonus in the eyes of all those who have criticized too much US influence in the past.

Or, if for whatever reason it needs to be in the New World, how about Porto Alegre in Brazil, a rather progressive city.
Or, Singapore in Asia, also a very safe city with good infrastructure.

Why not encourage them to move to the PA controlled Gaza strip? Let them put their office where their mouth is.

Nah, it should be neutral territory, not a potential war zone

It is an actual war zone, not potential. If UNESCO wants a Palestinian state they should be willing to stake their own lives and fortunes upon it.

UNESCO wants America also. And every other country it recognizes.

I say move it to Iran and let the muslims have all the security member votes and have them fund the thing.

Good way for America to bow out.

What like Paris, where it is already headquartered?

Paris Headquarters | United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization

Neuling, this is what you wrote;

While no one can be certain of what you meant by the UNO, I had to assume that UNO was some kind of abbreviation for an abbreviation (as if UNESCO wasn't abbreviation enough) seeing how you got the abbreviation for the United Nations correct one can only conclude that UNESCO is what you want relocated.

Get it?

The United Nation's headquarters is in New York, UNESCO's headquarters is in Paris. In other words it is already in the "Old World".

Get it?
