The elite intelligentsia have been bombarding us with pc drivel that Merry Christmas is offensive and exclusionary and must be replaced with the Milquetoast generic "Happy Holidays." Yet, Halloween, like Christmas was once an exclusively religious holiday. So to all of my elite Neo Prog friends, lemme wish you a: Happy Holiday!
I am not sure it's still alright to say Happy Halloween...but it's not stopping me. When my son was in elementary school 12 years ago, we had to call the Halloween party, the Fall Party and costumes were highly not recommended. I can't stand that sort of BS.
First off, I guess it is that time of year again when we start to see "war on Christmas" threads.
I propose we just /end thread and agree that everyone should be able to select their holiday greeting of choice. You want to say Merry Christmas then Say Merry Christmas, if you want to say Happy Chanukah say happy Chanukah, if you want to say Happy solstice say happy solstice. It really doesn't matter all that much.
There are more important things to do the obsess over what you call the season.

Could you bother to give an example of the "elite intelligentsia"...lol ? Sheeesh
The 1972 Vintage Books paperback edition of Rules for Radicals by Saul D. Alinksy has a page of quotes just before the table of contents. In the last of the three quotes, Alinsky himself said the following:
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer.

That sounds like very happy far left talk. Go ahead and admit to your socialist beliefs.

Can you go one day without making a post with the word "socialist" in it lol? Saying it repeatedly doesn't change the definition.
