"A Dutch psychologist has admitted making up data and faking research over many years in studies which were then published in peer-reviewed scientific journals."
Makes you wonder how many other of these so called definitive, peer-reviewed, not-to-be-questioned research studies are BOGUS/FAKE/WORTHLESS pieces of social/political propaganda if this one silly "scientist" was able to pass off so many fake research papers to these "peer reviewed scientific journals."

Unfortunately, a lot more than you'd ever suspect!

Funny it was a peer reviewed journal that questioned the validity of the published studies... sort of WHY studies are peer reviewed.

Gee. That makes it so much better that this came out a dozen years after the other "peer reviewed" journals published this bogus study. At least it wasn't a century of messed up psyches to contend with or laws to overturn. Whew!

What? Peer review doesn't automatically work? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you. So much for all those "peer reviewed" studies on man made Global Warming/climate change.

This is probably why every new study by a group or independent scientist is followed by the disclaimer that it needs more study and review. Eventually the testing will need to be duplicated by others to verify the results on a larger scale. I'm wondering if that is how this fellow was finally put on the spot? Very few studies lead to an instant or dramatic change in the world...it's a seriously slow process. We humans get frustrated by it sometimes.

Ah, because a study is published doesn't mean that it is excepted
Now if you can produce the glowing reviews of these fraudulent studies and the studies without qualification verified their results (that's why you publish them in the first place so other folks can see if they actually work)... then "science" would indeed have a problem.
Have you ever tried to read a peer reviewed psycological study? Most are nonsense hidden behind ill defined jargon.
