They didn't vote for anything other than not bringing it up for vote. It would pass if there was an actual vote allowed, but the dysfunctional Senate requires a un-democratic super majority for anything to pass. Cowardly if you ask me.

It is not a jobs bill it's a "let's throw more borrowed money at the unions" bill.
Only in the Senate can a vote that goes 51/49 be said to be won by the 49. What makes this even more disingenuous is that the OP acts as though Democrats rejected this when 50/51 Democrats voted for it.
No surprise. Most are up for re-election. They realize it is a "tax bill". They have said that in in election year, they are unwilling to raise taxes. Speaks volumes, doesn't it?
