There is no clear and concise message being brought forward and no ideas to correct the issues at hand. It is also hard to protest with any objectivity when your goal is scewered by not protesting to the actual source of the issue. Government policy created Fannie and Freddy as well as the bailouts of banks and auto manufacturers. Until we address the root of the problem all protesting the corporations will do is create a divide in the country rather than bringing us together to address a common goal.

You're talking about the recent issues. The recent issues are a lot closer to being symptoms than they are root cause. It's so much bigger than that.

Although I generally agree, you cannot ignore the fact that corporate lobbying dollars are the reason that the government chose to do those things.

Whenever I talk about cost of living, just assume I'm talking about where most people would actually want to live.
That link could have provided you where ever you wanted to learn about.

A quick look at migration rates will show you where people want to live. I'm not going to do your research for you and that is exactly why you're screaming about things you haven't the slightest clue about.

So is the problem the corporation lobbyists or our politicians accepting the favors of the lobbyists??

No, vote harvesting was why we got what we had in the housing market. If everyone hears the president talk about everyone having a house then suddenly everyone has access to loans then they'll vote for the president that provided that for them.

Of course that's not true at all as far as the president providing housing for everyone...

Want to, and have to are two different things. Trust me, no self-respecting New Yorker wants to move to Texas, Tennessee, Florida, or any one of the other trailer class states.

When it becomes too expensive to live there, however, you do what you have to do. Folks are leaving the northeast out of necessity, and nothing else.

Neither. The problem is the need, the want and the desire for more power and to keep, at the bare minimum, what they already have.

It's human failure...

Right. That's why people, when they retire, flock to Florida in droves...

Actually, it has more to do with weather and temperatures than anything.

People do get tired of the rat race and when they've gotten what they need to live out a happy life they move to where they want. You might be surprised by this but why do you think so many northers have such a bad attitude?
