Interesting case currently before the Supreme Court. Should the government be allowed to track you using a GPS device without your knowledge and use what they discover from it as evidence to convict you?
Agreed. I'd add the requirements for obtaining such a warrant should be set very high.
As long as they are with in the letter of the law.
This could have some very serious consequences for other form of surveillance that wander into this potential grey area. How much surveillance is too much before a warrant is needed. Does 24hour human to human surveillance fall into this category? What about infiltrators into a suspected crime organization. This is where lawyers and justices really earn their pay.
