I was thinking today that it is about 50/50 for Obama's reelection. His opponents are comical, but let's face it, this economy is a killer, so he may get drop kicked despite his obvious talent and desire to serve.

Assuming that is pretty likely, what should he do? I am assuming that he will campaign like crazy, but if losing was a foregone conclusion, he does not want to spend all four years apologizing and kissing booty. He should go out swinging and do some good things.

This is the pinnacle of any American's career, and although he cannot count on a shred of bipartisanship and good will from this congress he may be able to do some things through executive channels, such as the antiquities act.

Again, what should he do? What would be great for the country and earn him a positive place in history?

Flat tax and fire everyone in the IRS department or go make them work in the SEC to find the criminals there.... would there be a point in hiding money in offshore accounts anymore?

He'll keep stealing from the enterprise system he hates by extraconstitutional agency rules.

Obama blew it already. No, he does not get a "do over" for being the most devisive POTUS in US history. He constantly and publically mocks Americans who are not part of his voting base. Very bad form.

Obama had a historic opportunity to be a "post-racial" POTUS and instead all he has done is intentionally stoke the fires of class warfare. Instead of being a great uniter he has been the great divider. Time after time Obama has placed political opportunism ahead of this country's best interests.

The best thing he can do for this country is to vacate his office immediately. However, the narcissist in him will not allow him to consider anything aside from his own self-interests and that of his Marxist revolution.

This country needs a leader who recognizes American exceptionalism rather than to travel around the world apologizing for this country. Obama is not a leader.

Fail. No President going to resign to make his opponents happy. He is not a patsy, and he has no reason for shame. He has been treated like a dog by the Republicans, who had no strategy to help Americans besides sabotaging his leadership, everyone knows that.

What he should do and what he will do are two different things... What he will do is flood us with executive orders, since he can't get anything through the Senate and House...

No, it is Obama and his policies sabotaging our Constitutional Republic. Try to get it straight.

He needs to keep doing what he's been doing lately. Take the gloves off, give the anti-american GOP/tea party hell and call them out over and over, exposing them to the american people how they are destroying the nation by refusing to cut a penny of their outrageous spending, blocking jobs bills that will get people to work, and are deliberately holding the nation hostage for their own political gains.
Obama needs to learn from his mistakes that the GOP will never work with him, they will hate him no matter what, and the only way to deal with the right wing extremists is keep fighting back, do not cave, do not give them a damn thing.

Take 10 Congresspersons that are deliberately blocking legislation or who have publicly stated that their goal is anything other than doing the job their constituents hired them to do and deem them enemy combatants. Have them hauled away. Stand up in front of both houses and say "Anyone care to join them? Now get off your butts and do your jobs."

Demand that Congress write a law that guts the Citizens United Supreme Court decision and removes citizenship status from corporations. Change election laws to remove unlimited contributions. If they don't do it in one week, do it by executive order.

I don't know how other people would feel about these things, I don't even know if they're legal, but the shock of his waking up from his slumber of perceived weakness would be a breath of fresh air.

Basically, if Obama showed he was going to take the power to do the right things and scare the pants off of our other elected officials, he would win reelection on grand terms.

That is exactly why he won't survive the election... Bill Clinton was smart enough, even though it was kicking and screaming to move to the middle in order to survive to a second term.. This man is no Bill Clinton and will not see a second term because of his divisiveness and hatred.
