Here in South Louisiana we break out the big coats when it starts getting into the low 50s or upper 40s. If it gets close to 32 we receive a freeze warning. If it drops into the 20s or lower then it's a hard freeze warning. Has to do with homes built for heat rather than cold. Our homes are heated by either electric heat strips, heat pump (would not work in cold climates), or gas (natural or propane). Heat pumps are fine if you have electric heat strips built in for those times it gets too cold for the heat pump to work well.

My food is all freshly prepared, and homemade, with the herbs and seasonings coming from my garden, with the vegetables.

What would u like, pastas, seafood, lasagna, stuffed shells, chicken or eggplant parmesano. My pizza is outstanding, have to say that myself, it is so dang good. Our meatballs have stuffed homemade sasuage in the inside, and some other things. Soups and my salad with secret ingredients.
I bake my own pastries and cakes and pies, love making people happy with food. SO MANGA!

OH AND OF COURSE THE WINE.

I am an Italian who loves cooking, and entertaining. Your next party is when.

on a dry street, put a little ice down and there are pile ups for days!!

As far as how I am, I witnessed my first ever Christian non-Indian wedding and LOVED it. My friends make such a great couple. They decided to get married on 11-11-11. Clever, eh?

Left me in a better mood but also seeking a true love for myself. Will I ever find him?
No hatred here. Talking about Obama's poor performance is not hatred. It is talking about his performance.

That said, we are having some nice fall weather. Already started baking some pies. Got our turkeys already. Our company gives them out. Looking forward to a great feast.

Please keep charities in mind, especially this time of year. Consider volunteering.

Have a great holiday season everyone!

Yesterday, I was hoping I'd get called in for another shift...no luck But I did call a friend who's retired military to thank her for her service, she was so surprised and it was one of those "pay it forward moments" that I enjoy.

Today, I've tried to enjoy our wonderful cool weather finally, everyone else is cold and complaining but I woke to 32 degrees and clear blue skies and it topped off in the low 60's...a beautiful day only marred by my broken little toe that I droped a flashlight on last night.

Today is a scheduled day off and I hope I'll get called in tomorrow, could sure use the money.

My oldest granddaughter and her family live in Atlanta too. She grew up in Wisconsin and gets the biggest kick out of how folks in Atlanta act everytime a few snowflakes float through the air. She was talking about how people drive on slick streets too and how they act as though they are freezing in weather that we would consider a hot spell.

Last night the Badger hockey team beat the Gopher hockey team. Right at this moment the Badger football team is whipping the Gopher football team BAD. Now if tomorrow the Packers beat the Vikings, Minnesota will probably put up a Cain fence to keep Wisconsites out of Minnesota.
