Stryker is a huge company with thousands of workers and if they are going to lay off people how in the world can the small company afford the new obamacare fees?

Stryker, the Kalamazoo-based maker of artificial hips and knees, will cut 5% of its global workforce by the end of next year to reduce costs in the face of new fees on device makers required by the U.S. health care law.

The job cuts will reduce annual pretax operating costs by more than $100 million beginning in 2013, when the medical-device excise tax is scheduled to take effect, Stryker said Thursday in a statement. Stryker had more than 20,000 employees as of Dec. 31, according to Bloomberg News data.

No one forced Styrker to do anything.

Heaven forbid the stockholders lose a few bucks out of their six-figure and/or multi-million dollar salary.

And lulz...Fox Nation...

A lot of those stock holders have far less than a six figure income. They are common people with a small investment that they are in hopes of being able to retire on one day. Some of those that will lose their jobs make far less than six figures as well.. Just because one owns stock in a company does not mean they are wealthy and can afford to lose what they have.

Obamacare didn't put a mind control chip in their heads and make their hands draft up 1000 pink slips.

Once again, no one forced Stryker to do anything. They selfishly did it on their own.

All the article says is the job cuts are because of some vague fees stemming from Obamacare. What fees are those? What has happened to journalism in this country?

I dno't care where it's from, the point is Stryker wasn't forced to do anything.

I don't recall Obama sitting above with puppet strings attached to the powers that be at Stryker, dictating their drafting of 1000 pink slips.

It seems to be a common theme among liberals to be incapable of understanding any chain of connection between two things that has more than two links in it.
