So I guess we'll see which party is the do nothing party in congress. The GOP is caving and is willing to generate 250-300B in new tax revenue. Let's see if the dems come up with the needed cuts in spending. Psst. They won't.
To no surprise the right wingers will give up a slice, but want the rest of the cake in return. The GOP as usual wants to continue their outrageous spending, this time around to the tune of 3.7 trillion in new spending.

So Democrats aren't interested in spending money ehh?
Is that link saying the GOP wants to keep the Bush tax cuts? Below is the scenario I am talking about that is the most recent proposal. They want the rates to be lower than the Bush rates with no loopholes for those earning over $175,000/$250,000.
"Republicans have rallied around a $1.2 trillion deficit-reduction plan by Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.) that would raise $250 billion in taxes mostly by curbing tax deductions for upper-income taxpayers, and permanently set tax rates even lower than the Bush-era levels." It says you need to subscribe to read that article, but otherwise the (R)'s have proposed to close up loopholes that would help strongly, but they also want to significantly lower the top of the ladder tax rate from 35% to 28%, as well as making the Bush tax cuts permanent. This is what would add to trillions in new spending to bankroll the rich the nation absolutely can not afford.
It's again like mentioned before the GOP put a slice on the table, but want the rest of the cake in return.

Hasn't he and many on the left been claiming for 2 years now that the repubs will NEVER agree to ANY tax hikes? Now the repubs have put tax hikes on the table and some are still not satisfied.
Some people just can't be pleased.
