The big problem with democrats is how they forget they already have these big costly socialist programs in place.
Just like they already had food stamps and decided they needed WIC and free school lunches, they forgot they aready have Head Start and subsidized child care programs.
Or pretending they forgot about their programs already in place lets them avoid admitting their programs are a big failure?

What? They knew long before that. I was a secondary ed major in the early 1990s and they knew that then, and the scandal at that time was that they had known that since shortly after the program's creation.

Head Start does work...for about 2 years. There's a notable, sometimes even a remarkable difference at the kindergarten and 1st Grade levels. However, by the time the students are in the 4th Grade, you have lost whatever gains you made and you cannot tell which students went to Head Start and which ones did not. So if you have two students performing very poorly in reading, reading comprehension and math, probably one or both of them went to Head Start.

She has ALWAYS been a source of MAJOR embarassment to those of us who are center/Bluedog Dems...if she left politics and was never heard from again I can't think of many who would shed a tear.
