They got themselves involved in a controversial protest in another country where they threw firebombs are security. They are lucky to have been released because more than likely had they been in another country they wouldn't have been.

Three American students arrested during a protest in Cairo caught flights out of Egypt early Saturday, according to an airport official and an attorney for one of the trio.

The three Americans were arrested on the roof of a university building near Cairo's Tahrir Square last Sunday. Officials accused them of throwing firebombs at security forces fighting with protesters

They were singled out because they are Americans. That's discrimination.

Did they leave the country voluntarily? If not, I'd demand a full tuition refund from American U. in Cairo.

Yeah, it looked like they made Molotov cocktails using plastic bottles. They're lucky to still be alive let alone flying back to the US.

I have zero sympathy for these teens/young adults.

Haven't they learned from the Iranian hikers. Haven't they learned from the American who go cained for vanderlism.

They are 18-20 years old. They should know right from wrong.

If you are going to act stupid at least do it in your own country.

Seriously the US government needs to start requiring standardized testing when a person 18 or older applies for a passport.

First question on application should be.

Do other countries have the same laws as the United States?

If they answer yes their passport application should immediately be denied.

Does it hurt to be stupid? If it doesn't it really should.
