Wow, I have never seen some one cherry pick out parts of the Bible they like, make up their own interpretations, and try and regurgitate it to justify what they already want to believe. A televangelist couldn't have done worse hack job.

I wonder what Jesus would say if he came down and found people only following the parts of the Bible they liked and ignoring the rest. This certainly tops the list of things you could say that would make a minister want to slap the crap out of you.

I am sorry, but I seemed to have missed the part of this thread that has anything to do with the Constitution?

Not to nitpick, but I don't think the Gospels say anything about that happening on the Sabbath, they just simply say that Jesus went to the temple during Passover. He threw them out for using a "House of Prayer" to perform commerce. He explicitly called out the thievery of the money changers and the dove merchants who sold to the poorer pilgrims.

I find that using the Bible to justify political positions is a dangerous precedent.

I corrected it to passover

Commerce = moneychangers

He whipped the animals for sale for sacrific out then turned over the moneychangers tables.
