Just exactly how big was the Federal Reserve’s bailout of the banks between the years of 2008 and 2010? - almost $8 trillion.

By March of 2009, the Fed had already dished out $7.77 trillion to save the US financial system, dwarfing other assistance programs several times over.

I'll never understand why Americans aren't more up in arms about this. To think there are still people out there who don't think it's at least worth looking into in detail what exactly the Federal Reserve does.

We knew that the federal reserve floated the loans of these banks.

But most of that money has been paid back. The fed hands out all kinds of low interest loans, daily. This is no new story.

Americans as a whole, don't have much of a clue about anything that is happening in their country, which is just the way the powers that be want it.
