Quote:
[LEFT]LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria's Senate voted to criminalize gay marriage, gay advocacy groups and same-sex public displays of affection, the latest legislation targeting a minority already facing discrimination in Africa's most populous nation.
The bill, now much more wide-ranging than its initial draft, must be passed by Nigeria's House of Representatives and signed by President Goodluck Jonathan before becoming law. However, public opinion and lawmakers' calls Tuesday for even harsher penalties show the widespread support for the measure in the deeply religious nation.

Yeah I agree it's petty and they have more important things to worry about. But, at the same time, I don't think it's really any of our business.

As Americans, we need to worry about our own problems because we have so many important things to be concerned about ourselves.

God bless them.

I'm glad I live in a country where we are prevented from passing laws respecting an establishment of religion.

All depends on who defines "human rights"

I don't think human rights talks about gay marriage...

A big problem with Americans and our leaders is they care way too much about what other countries are doing while our own house is on fire We would be better off minding our own bussiness.

So? What's the problem?

Since the 1979 Islamic revolution, the Iranian government has executed more than 4000 gays...

In Egypt, openly gay men have been prosecuted under general public morality laws

If Nigerian gay men do not want to go to jail I suggest they do not hold hands in public. See how simple that is.
