Representative John Conyers, Jr., a Detroit Democrat, was re-elected to represent the 14th Congressional District in November of 2010, to his 24th term in the U.S. House of Representatives. The district covers all of Highland Park and Hamtramck, as well as large portions of Detroit, Dearborn and the Downriver communities of Melvindale, Allen Park, Southgate, Riverview, Trenton, Gibraltar and Grosse Ile.
Having entered the House of Representatives in 1965, Mr. Conyers is the second most senior member in the House of Representatives.

You've never heard of John Conyers? I guess that says a lot about you then.

The meaning behind this question is as follows:

You people are not like my people. You people are obviously separate and apart from us. We (Whites) are the real Americans and "our leader" is the President of the United States (although some probably aren't saying that about President Obama). You people are not like us so you absolutely must have a separate "leader" for your people. And therefore.....

"Who are your leaders?"

Politically as a citizen of the US? Obama. In my everyday life? Myself.

Or similarly:

"You people are not smart enough to come up with your own opinions. You must have a "spokesperson" to make your thoughts known. Who is your leader?"

Both stances are idiotic.

There are over 435 representatives. I'm not in his district, why would I go out of my way to know who the representative for Detroit is? If it wasn't for his reparations act and the google search you just did, I doubt you would know who he is.

Notice how he is not asking individuals themselves what their thoughts are, instead digging through the internet for quotes. All he had to do was ask members on here what they thought. I'm guessing the answers wouldn't fit his agenda.

Exactly.

And the blacks that think they are owed something are on the same level as the racist white rednecks that they fight with imo.

Yet ANOTHER two groups in America who should be given their own battlefield somewhere to let them fight to the death on pay per view TV for the amusement of the rest of America....after they fight, next up on pay per view EXTREME RIGHT WINGERS VS EXTREME LEFT WINGERS.....let the games begin...you could call that last one "the Battle of the Pansies"

Same here. And it never comes up in large gatherings were it's mostly Blacks. I dont' know why some caucasians always bring up reparations on the internets when hardly no one is even thinking about it.
