I never know about Time's person of the year until some liberal squeals about it here on CD. I don't even pick up that rag in a doctor's waiting room unless it is to see their last riduculous claims.
LOL! Ya, no sour grapes here! Much!
That rag Time magazine...that fly by night mag...it won't last...LOL!
I've got my picture as Time Man of the Year. It's in a drawer somewhere. Yeah, it's fake, but a guy can dream, can't he? At one time or another I've had my eyes fixed on being the A.L. MVP, winning the NFL rushing title, being co-star in a movie opposite Meg Ryan (circa 1992), being the Super Bowl halftime musical act, and being the hero who at 11:59, defused an H-bomb in Times Square set to go off at the stroke of midnight on New Years.
I might have to settle for "Grand Supreme Member Extraordinaire" here at C-D. Geez, I'm sure glad no one knows my real name.
Globally? When I saw the cover I didn't even think about Obama, or the OWS protesters etc. Judging by the responses on this thread so far I'd say Americans are ridiculously myopic when it comes to events. Thinking globally might be a bit of a stretch....
So you think George W. Bush belongs in the same category as Stalin and Hitler?
He was Time's person of the year in 2004.
He is, via his grandfather Prescott.
