At least that's what I got from your post.
So I guess you are part of the 1%, the treehuggers.

Way to eliminate yourself from serious consideration in future discussions.
The republicans have two dozen bills that they have sent to the senate that would create jobs. Because the people you support won't even discuss them we are stuck with this high unemployment. Your ideas are not worth consideration.

This is a win for the people of Neb. The pipeline Co. agreed to move it away from the sand hills area after the Pres. said that they would have to wait. Once the state signs off I think the Pres. will sign off and let the State Dept. move it along. The Repub. in congress just used to distract from the fact that they cant come up with a jobs package or that they are controlled by the oil lobby in DC

The incandescent ban was just dumb - smart people went to CFLs long ago anyway - and the pipeline has been studied for three years. Nebraska is fighting it over aquifer pollution fears that are not substantiated to date. The administration needs to decide and quit dragging things out. Republicans had to give up a bunch of tea party/social nonsense in the deal. I love pragmatism when I see it and will reward it with my support. Go O!
If these ideas were so obviously stupid, why did Obama push them in the first place? I'm glad he changed his mind too. But it had to be done with him kicking and screaming. Let's get a president that does not support stupid ideas in the first place.

The president didn't say he would approve the pipeline if Nebraska did. He said he would consider it AFTER the election. True leadership. The Rep House has passed two dozen bills that will increase jobs. Your democrat leaders won't even consider them.

The Dems are learning how to negotiate with the Repub. They are making the same style of demands that the current Speaker has been using.

The tax lowering bills will not help the economy. My feeling is spending must be cut and the Bush tax cuts must all end. As in any non-profit(the federal Gov't being the largest in the world) you have to increase income and lower debt to maintain that balance.

Evidently the Presient's tight focus on jobs is about how to prevent them, not how to get more of them.
