the reason is simple, the democrats can now hammer the republicans by claiming that they are against tax cuts for the middle class, even though the house passed a bill that would extend the tax cuts for a full year. its all politics on both sides.

I think Obama is a stupid and worthless as any Republican with the exception of a handful of Ron Paul types.
