i don't understand what you mean but I do know that all working class people who make enough to pay taxes have money withheld each payday and others have to pay quarterly because there is nothing in the tax rules that applies to money that is not paid by most workers. I pay quarterly on 85% of my Social Security payments to me. My SS payments became taxed during the Clinton administration and we all know that once something happens in taxation it never stops.
Employees voluntarily write a check to the treasury every month or quarter instead of the employer? Never going to happen. The compliance rate amongst the 47 % not paying any income tax would be close to zero. They get all the money back anyway and then some. The IRS would not enforce compliance.
I work my ass off for my employer. The least they can do is figure out/add up the IRS blood money and mail the damn check for me at the end of the year.
I am one that believes we are ALL americans and we ALL should have some skin in the game.. Perhaps those in the lower brackets should pay less, but they should still pay. This is political plain and simple and is engineered to attract voters. Nothing more and both parties are guilty of it. It's time we ALL started rowing this boat together instead of a few rowing and half being just on a pleasure cruise...
It's a psychological thing, I would like each American to have NOTHING withheld from their paycheck, but then make one fat check out to uncle sam for $10,000+ for payroll taxes and federal income taxes. Just curious how far to the right this country would turn when they see it at lump sum.

I think it would turn towards more government control which is towards the left which is what we do NOT need more of Thank-you very much.
Rather, there should be a tax holiday for a few years. Give everyone at the IRS a two year vacation. Watch our economy RECOVER!
