Left out DADT overturned, so honorable gays & lesbians can now serve and defend our country.
Marriage rate falls to a record low, yet gays are being fought in equal rights in marriage due to protection of sanctity of marriage, yet Kim Kardashian- 72 day marriage preserves it.

I would argue that your #1 and #10 were non events in 2011. OBL has been irrelevant for quite some time. His death changed nothing. And we have been withdrawing from Iraq for quite some time. The exit of the last few soldiers was just a conclusion that started a long time ago.
