Oh please. How is "disagreeing" with me - and I'm not talking about "disagreeing" with me in the sense of disagreeing with a position I hold, or an opinion I have - but actually "disagreeing" with ME: "disagreeing" with my existence, my humanity, the core component of my being that dictates how I form intimate relationships with other human beings - not hate?
Telling a gay person you "disagree" with homosexuality is similar to telling a black person you "disagree" with black skin.
No it isn't....because "black skin" is not carrying out actions through impulse.
That was not the question.
The question is do you believe it is normal or abnormal to be homosexual.
If your child had dyslexia, would you just not do anything to correct it and tell them that it is just a normal thing to have dyslexia? Or would you try to fix it. It has nothing to do with if you would teach them to hate people with dyslexia.
That is the question being asked with homosexuality.
Say what? You're deigning to compare a treatable learning, comprehending disorder with sexual orientation that could even be geneticly predisposed?
Oh yeah, this'll work fine; teach it out of them!
As if you haven't seen enough suicides and bullying in association with that approach.

Well, to me it is. That's how gay people hear it - that's how our families hear it - that's how the people who love and respect us hear it.
But go ahead. Keep on deluding yourself that your hate is actually just a "disagreement" - or if you're one of those love the sinner, hate the sin types - that your hate is actually "love."
Oh, I understand more than you think. You mean you believe you need to get to them first and instill your prejudices and biases before they are exposed to the real world. Making certain that they carry on your beliefs. Time people like you expand your horizons, you are not any better than anyone else on this planet.
So you shouldn't pass on anything to your children? good morals? Good work ethics? and on and on, ok
In my post I clearly said a parent should pass on THEIR beliefs to their children so if they were to believe killing is wrong they shouldn't express it huh? Or if they believe Homosexuals are normal Huh? you read your own meaning into others posts your a piece of work.

I don't "hate" you...No matter what you choose to believe.

I didn't say parents should NOT share their beliefs with their kids. What is wrong is to keep them away from differing beliefs. And poisoning the well before such exposure is just as bad. In raising my daughter we never offered an opinion on differing views of the world, we left that up to her to explore. We never said gay is bad, she developed her own views and beliefs on that subject as well as everything else.
I gather from the content of this thread that some believe that any discussion of "gayness" in a public setting should come with a label that states, "gayness" is bad" or "gayness" is unnatural".... IMHO, that is poisoning the well.
Normal is a MADE UP WORD used by a group of people to justify if something is ok.. IT MEANS NOTHING!!
