Our system of higher education has idiots for professors,....and idiots for administrators who approved this course.

Columbia University will offer a new course for upperclassmen and grad students next semester. An Occupy Wall Street class will send students into the field and will be taught by Dr. Hannah Appel, a veteran of the Occupy movement.
New Class At Columbia Focuses On Occupy Wall Street « CBS New York
What next,....a major in community organizing?

How could a new course be the reason graduates have trouble finding a job? If they already graduated they are aren't taking this class...

But I do kind of agree, its an odd class.

It's best not to make people who make threads like this think too much.

Typical right wing jealousy/sour grapes towards higher education...

"Professors are stupid and the top universities are full of idiots. Only Limbaugh and Hannity have any smarts!"

Gee folks,....didn't you brainiacs know that post-graduate degrees are accompanied by graduation ceremonies? After one gradutes, they normally seek gainful employment. Some just choose to gripe and moan,...so they join the OWS.

A class such as the one mentioned doesn't teach any job skills. Plus, anyone who is crazy enough to waste money on a class like this one could have learned it for free from any newspaper, web site, or library.

How about the retroactive GPA increase last year?

It was a school here in California. In an effort to help its graduates get jobs they raised the GPA of everyone who had already graduated. I don't remember which school. Just remember reading the article.

Why do you need a class to learn how to pitch a tent, cr4p on a police car and assault people?
