Yup..they are totally against this....until that piece of paper reaches his desk then that pen just takes over.
He says one thing and does another. His words are untrustworthy.

You are absolutely right. If they pass it, he will sign it. I doubt he even knows where the VETO stamp is.

That whole copyright thingy has gotten out of hand, copyright has become an obstacle.
And oftentimes it is not even the original author of whatever is copyrighted that lives on the fees and makes a fuss, but some parasite in between author and audience, for instance record labels, studios, and publishing houses.

My view is that copyright should be more like medicine. If you perform an original work of art, it should be exclusive to your license for a period of time. Maybe 10 years. After that time, it should belong to the public in a "generic" form. If it is sold or performed by others, you would still get a cut but could not dictate the price any longer.

I don't know about the details yet, but I do think copyright laws need to be reformed, just like patents laws.

DO YOU BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT IT?

Suckers.

Didn't they say they wouldn't sign NDAA either? And then they did...

Never trust a puppet.

In the beginning, I supported SOPA, but I've realized that it goes too far. I'm glad the Obama Administration is taking a stand.
Election year stance.

that's the ONLY REASON

THE ONLY REASON they are saying they aren't going to pass it.

Some people, not naming any names, are so gullible that they actually think O isn't going to sign it b.c they realized it was a "bad" bill...

LMAO, they just don't want the public to learn about what they WERE GOING TO pass under their noses. But when the big internet sites would make the information available to TENS OF MILLIONS of people, they changed their mind.

Some people have no street smarts or just blindly listen to the garbage they are fed.
