Is it just me or does it seem like John McCain has never gotten over his loss in the '08 election?

More than any other candidate for any office that I can remember, it seems to me that John McCain has never gotten over it. He has jumped on any opportunity over the last three years to attack President Obama over anything. And I'm not talking about policy differences - I'm talking about everything and anything (kind of like some of the posters here )

I don't remember Al Gore or John Kerry behaving like this; they just seemed to go on about their business.

Is he still carrying a grudge over the fact that he lost in '08? Or is he just a bitter and spiteful old man?

Besides being bitter, he really seems old....and tired.

He appeared very angry today when he endorsed Romney - almost out of control.

I try to cut McCain some slack because he's had a difficult life, from being a P.O.W. to getting caught in the Keating Five scandal. However, I can't overlook the fact that he swallowed his pride and supported Bush after the Bushistas had called McCain's adopted daughter from Bangaladesh his "love child" in S.C. back in the 2000 primaries. I couldn't forgive someone who treated my child so cruelly quite as easily as he did.

Based on what John McCain went through defending this country I have a hard time being critical of him. I don't agree with his politics and didn't support him in 2008 but I'm always willing to give him a pass on things where his character comes into question because there isn't a person on this forum or in this country who can say that he didn't give his life for his country.

Yep.

McCain went through years of torture that would have broken most people, it's amazing that he's still alive today.

No he's not, John McCain knows what it means to go to war and not come home.

If you want to base your opinion of him on some 10 second clip of some off the cuff comment he made about Iran.
