it is about race for the majority of birthers they are too PC to say so.
I agree it's about race for most of them (did you hear that one asked a federal judge to recuse herself from a lawsuit challenging Obama's eligibility because she is black? that is sickening...), but I think it's not only about race given their feelings about Romney.
In Romney's case, I think it may be about his religion.

Well heck, my girls are whiter than white, as I am of German (Prussian) descent and their dad traces his ancestry to William the Conquerer on both sides. They can be on the beach for a week and never muster a shade darker than a peach coloured crayon.
Wrong, as long as both parents are citizens the the child is automatically a citizen too no matter where he or she is born.
Actually, as long as one person is a citizen the child is automatically a citizen no matter where he or she is born (with a single exception dealing with the age and residence time of a citizen mother).
But if they are born on US soil, neither parent need be a citizen.

Except some of the birther nutcases are focusing on the definition of "natural born" citizen. This includes the Obama birthers who have accepted that he was born in the US and the Romney birthers.
And of course... it doesn't. One can be a naturalized citizen.
But that is the only exception. There is no third category.
Duh...my post sounded stupid.
Anyway, what they like to argue is that if you or your mother and/or your father weren't born in the US, then you're not a natural born citizen. Essentially, they're suggesting that you and your parents have to be natural born citizens who were born in the US.
Remember some people had a problem with McCain because he was born overseas. These people are likely now Obama "birthers" and Romney "birthers."

Tell the parents of two German tourists if the mother gives birth in Disneyland and their kid is told it is not German.

That's entirely up to German citizenship laws. The kid's natural born US citizenship would have nothing to do with whether or not the kid was also German.
