I imagine he does believe it. I think the movers and shakers on both ends of the political spectrum very well might not believe the rhetoric. They believe in certain basic principles but throw out a lot of the extreme and/or crazy stuff as red meat for their base to chew on knowing it is wildly exaggerated. And Morgan Freeman is one of those useful idiots, as the saying goes. The fact that he is greatly successful for his insights into acting doesn't mean he has any insight into history or political science at all. He is as susceptible to falling for propaganda in that area as anyone else is.

Good post. Politics is carefullly planned to feed the dumb masses in this country. They know the majority in this country are sheep to their party, and will blindly follow no matter what is said or done.
The guy is about as sharp as a bowling ball. I wanted to go to the Lancaster Witness farm just to get a look at the spot where Harrison Ford puts a shotgun blast through him in the movie. I wonder if the blood stain is still there?
