I truely believe that cenosring the media heavily will rid this nation of its problems. How you ask? Here is how, using the power of Hollywood and radio, we gradually get all the people on the same page about our great nation. Once everyone is on the same page about our countries state, there will be no one to voice any problems. Through media manipulation we get the people to believe this is UTOPIA and will never get better or worse. For an extra safe guard, only positive vibes can be sent out. Thoughts?

That is exactly why they failed, they pushed a groups ideals. Im saying preach we live in a Utopia that will not get better or worse. No politics, nothing, live with what you got and be happy.
Not only is the idea absurd, it is impossible in the age of the internet. Unless the US wants to intervene in internet traffic like China does, it will be impossible to censor the expression of different ideas. The line between media ("ABC, CBS, etc.") and citizens (bloggers, wiki) is blurry as hell and I see no way that a government body can do it. I do not like the manipulation of the information I get via the mainstream media, but the government would make it worse.
