Especially when the recipient class is receiving more freebies than ever before at the expense of the productive class, while the productive class will never be allowed to collect any of benefits that they actually paid for. Or when the recipient class contributes nothing to society while at the same time demands the productive class give them more and more of their hard-earned money and property? The recipient class gets free food, free housing, free medical care, free education, free childcare, free legal care, free cell phones, free internet service, etc. and the working stiffs of course get the bill.

Does the bashing occur because:
A) Liberals are rotten, heartless people.
B) They follow the Constitution when it's convenient yet ignore the parts about individual liberty and private property.
C) It makes them feel better than those who are smarter, more hard-working and ambitious.
D) They are planning for the day when, of course, they too will be members of the recipient class.
E) The very corporations and interests they implicitly protect have manipulated them in to focusing on those least able to defend themselves as a red herring... "Look over there while I pick your pocket."

But to bash the people who make this country work and relish it? Disgusting.

Nice deflection thread. "Productive class" and "recipient class" is code speak.

Productive class = wealthy
Recipient class = poor

As if rich people are the only ones who work, and poor people all just sit on their butts. I'll bet you also think that only "job creators" actually create jobs too. Ha!

Um, creating ONE job makes one a "job creator".

Well, that's one crappy job creator then. Excuse me if I don't bow down and worship the 1%. I simply don't think they're God's gift to everything.

We need to encourage growth and economic confidence in the middle class instead of kissing up to the so called "job creators"

Right, so the middle class needs to not be forced to subsidize the poor and corporations.

Answer- investment in US companies

However, liberals assault and vilify anyone or anything that is productive, not only Wall Street. Why? Liberals have the strange assumption that wealth is a "zero sum game" and that no one can be wealthy unless someone else is made poor as a result. Obviously, this cannot be so, otherwise there would be a large componant of human civilization living in caves, eating berries and mastadon, while a small componant of the population lived in Beverly Hills and drove Mercedes.

Wealth is not a zero sum game. The simple progress of civilization and the fact that essentially EVERYONE in the US has enough food, shelter (if they want it), and modern appliances. Even the "poor" in the US live like kings relative to the rest of the world or compared to past generations. If "wealth" was a "zero sum game" , this would not be true.

Liberalism provides a rationalization for the those with little education, little effort, or very poor planning to account for thier failures in life. Liberalism caters to the losers in life who would rather blame everyone else, but themselves, for thier failures in life.

Perhaps if one embraced the concept of personal responsibility, maximal effort, and a good work ethic, then liberalism would disappear from the US. As long as there are bums and dead beats who want a handout and an excuse for thier failures, the liberals and democrats will always have a voter base.

Globalized grief, strife, hype, mayhem, and legalized corruption aren't productive to your standard of ethics?

I am liberal and part of the "productive" class. Not hating the poor or feeling like greedy CEOs deserve every penny they earn doesn't make a person envious or hateful toward the rich.
