Almost 60% of Chrysler is owned by Fiat, an Italian company. It is expected that they will acquire more Chrysler stock from the United Auto Workers union’s retiree health-care trust
Fiat's CEO expects to sell Fiats in the US using the Chrysler sales network and wants to merge the two companies in 2014.
The 'second half' may not go the way Clint would like.
Or it may... Chrysler could turn out to be Fiat's salvation as much as the reverse.
Mercedes Benz wanted a piece of the big production Chrysler, but they couldn't understand how making cars priced under $30,000 worked. Fiat already knows that side of the biz- they can't figure out how to sell their cars here.
Fiat may find that there is more of an opening in selling Chryslers in Europe, just as GM did in China. It would put a different spin on "Imported from Detroit" for sure.
Folks, this ad wasn't political. It's all about selling American iron to Americans first again.
Stupid commercial. Chrysler isn't even an American company anymore. Why doesn't he just advertise for toyota?
Big fail. Apple is an American company and makes it's products in China. Which would you rather see? Many Americans working or many Chinese? Who owns the company isn't as important as to where it's products are being made.
I don't have a problem buying a Toyota that was made here, or a Hundai. American hands took a stack of parts and made it into a car. Eventually, I hope that that Toyota will have all American steel in those parts, and I'll be looking through a windshield that's made of American glass, and riding on American made tires, even if they say Bridgestone on them.
It can happen. And it will, once we get all the way back up on our feet again.
Would I vote again for the man who rescued the USA from a massive Republican depression, rescued the auto industry, brought health care to millions of Americans, kept America safe from terrorist attacks, ended the war in Iraq, lowered taxes, repealed Don't Ask Don't Tell, and killed Bin Laden?
Absolutely! It's Halftime in America....OBAMA 2012!

Why does every foreign auto manufacturer who builds a new plant in the U.S. build in the South? Hyundai, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, etc. etc. etc. Why is Ford's best selling sedan built in Mexico?
This ad was a load of crap. Chrysler is no longer an American company as Fiat owns more than half of it. The taxpayers have no responsibility to support the United Auto Workers.
